Short answers to the questions that usually come up before the first email.
What kind of work do you take on?
Three things: building AI-powered products end to end, designing (or rescuing) software architecture and infrastructure, and technology consulting — including fractional CTO work. If your problem sits somewhere between those, it is probably a good fit.
Do you work with international clients?
Yes — most of my work is international and fully remote. I am based in Medellín and work in GMT-5, which shares the working day with the Americas and overlaps European mornings. Everything happens in English or Spanish, whichever the team prefers.
Which industries have you worked in?
Many, and that range is part of the value. My core domain is clinical laboratories inside US health systems — environments where correctness, traceability and uptime are not negotiable. Around that core I have shipped software for very different industries — agriculture, journalism, energy, customer service, legal, tourism — and the pattern repeats every time: understand the domain quickly, then build exactly what it needs rather than what a package happens to offer. Three of those are written up as case studies on the homepage.
Do you sell a product, a platform or a license?
No. I sell service as a software rather than software as a service: senior engineering applied to your specific problem, delivered as working systems that you own. There is no package to license and no vendor to stay locked into — the solution is tailored to how your business actually works.
How does an engagement start?
Send me a WhatsApp message with a few lines about what you are building and where it hurts. We set up a call, and if there is a fit you get a short written proposal with scope, timeline and price.
What is the relationship with Impossible Code?
I co-founded Impossible Code and lead its software development as Chief Architect. Larger AI product builds usually run through the Impossible Code team; architecture reviews and consulting I do directly.
What technologies do you work with?
Whatever the problem calls for, with a strong bias toward proven, well-understood tools in production. Day to day that means Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript/Node, Vue and Astro on the front end, PostgreSQL, Docker, GitHub Actions for CI/CD, Cloudflare and plain Linux servers — plus the LLM and machine-learning tooling behind Impossible Code’s products.
Do you take full-time roles?
No. I am fully committed to Impossible Code and to a small number of consulting clients at a time — that is what keeps the advice honest and the availability real.
